Biography

I am an author, architect and independent researcher based in Hyderabad, with a long interest in Deccani Islamicate history and built heritage. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad and am the author of A Brief History of the River Musi and co-author of Hyderabad Deccan: Illustrated.

I specialize in heritage conservation, architectural documentation and historical research. In 2018, I founded The Deccan Archive Foundation to document and share the region's cultural heritage through writing, curation, illustration, photography, mapping and digital records.

I regularly write on architecture, history and heritage, with a focus on cultural preservation. I also maintain an active curatorial practice through exhibitions, workshops and city walks, including my role as Director of Shehr Festival.
